Editorial policy

Editorial standards

Compound Universe Genome publishes evidence-tiered research summaries on peptides and peptide therapeutics. This page sets out how we source material, how we grade it, what we refuse to claim, and how we handle corrections.

How we source

We cite primary and authoritative sources only: PubMed-indexed studies, peer-reviewed journals, ClinicalTrials.gov registrations, and FDA or Federal Register records. Seller blogs, vendor product pages, and forum posts are never cited as evidence.

Where a claim cannot be traced to a primary source, it does not appear. Where the underlying research is weak, thin, or contested, the page says so rather than rounding it up.

How we grade evidence

Every efficacy claim carries a visible evidence tier, because the study model that produced a finding determines how much weight it can bear.

  • In vitro — cells, tissues, or isolated systems. Explores a mechanism; cannot establish a clinical effect.
  • Animal — preclinical models. Surfaces signals, safety concerns, and hypotheses needing human validation.
  • Human pilot — small, often uncontrolled studies. Suggestive, not conclusive.
  • Human / RCT — controlled trials, weighed by design, endpoint quality, and sample size.
  • Regulatory — approval labels, safety communications, and compounding decisions, dated to a jurisdiction.

An effect observed in isolated cells or rodents is never presented as an established human outcome. Approved medicines, discontinued drugs, clinical-stage candidates, and research-only compounds are never presented as equivalent.

Who writes and reviews this

Content is researched, drafted, and fact-checked by the Compound Universe Genome research team. AI assistance is used in drafting and is disclosed here; research, source verification, and editing are human. Every citation is checked to resolve to a real, retrievable record before publication.

We do not currently employ a named credentialed medical reviewer. Rather than imply clinical review we do not have, we state it plainly: this site operates on organisational editorial standards, not individual clinical authority. Dosing protocols, reconstitution instructions, and administration guidance are therefore out of scope entirely — we report what studies administered, never what a reader should take.

What we will not publish

  • Dosing recommendations, protocols, or administration instructions
  • Sourcing guidance, vendor rankings, or where to obtain restricted compounds
  • Efficacy claims that outrun the study model behind them
  • Invented statistics, fabricated citations, or unverifiable expert quotes

Corrections

We correct errors on the page and update the review date. If you find something wrong, report it to cu-genome@outlook.com with the URL and the source you believe is correct. Substantive corrections are noted on the page itself.

Medical disclaimer

Compound Universe Genome is an educational research resource. Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a dosing protocol.

Many peptides discussed are not approved by the FDA, and legal status varies by jurisdiction and changes over time. We report what studies administered and what regulators decided. We do not tell readers what to take, how to dose, or where to obtain any compound.

How Compound Universe Genome researches this: Every summary is built from primary sources (PubMed, peer-reviewed journals, regulatory records), labeled by evidence tier, and dated. We report what studies found, never what to take.
